Are you overwhelmed with choices regarding men’s custom shirts? Aaron Marino of alpha m. helps with sorting out alternatives.
In regard of contrasting color and cuff, Aaron sticks with a classic, solid shirt. If you want to play around with contrasting, the placket could be a subtle hint of color which is not as blatant as contrasting color and cuff. If you are looking at French cuff, you can elevate your game and wear it with a suit. You can still roll up your sleeve but you will have a lot of extra fabric and you have to take the cuff links out. You can lose the cuff links.
Modern Tailor has a test shirt for $19.95 and go with a solid white or light blue. Stick with wide spread or point collar. And instead of French cuff, go with a double button or notch double button (outside of the box but not French cuff right now). Above all, make sure the test shirt fits you well.
