Aaron Marino of alpha m. loves shoes! But sometimes he’s just not in a *shoe* mood. Sometimes he needs something more rugged, edgy, macho, and masculine. A great pair of stylish boots fixes that fever.
Create a visual streamline from neck to toes. If you put on big clunky, chunky, bulky shoes, you’ll look shorter, heavier, and dumpy. Boots are no exception. Your sexiness can go down down down.
Functional Boots
These boots were designed for a specific task or function. These are for construction workers, military members, hikers, and more. There are a lot of different style of hiking boots- some are more stylish and simple than others.
Dress Boots
You can wear with suits and slacks, typically with a high shine. They look like shoes or loafers when your pants are down. Alpha displays some examples and talks about different designers with prices.
Casual Boots
Nothing looks better than a great pair of jeans than casual boots- a little rugged, edgy, with a heel, and a bit scuffed up. Alpha’s favorite boot company is Frye. They made all sorts of different boots, which he shows a variety of Frye boots. Sexy! The bad news about Frye’s is that they’re expensive but they are constructed well and are durable. Kenneth Cole is another option but they’re trendy. Steve Madden also makes a great selection of boots that are affordable (under $100) but will fall apart quickly. Last, Timberland is an other option as well as Aldo and Dock Marten. Uggs are horrible and look terrible!
Don’t go to a department store to find boots. Go online like Zappo or do searches for men’s boots. You’ll have thousands to pick from. When you’re buying a boot, go down a 1/2 size.
