Tough Times
Alpha is thankful for a lot, but things have been tough recently. He recently moved his 78 year old mother to Atlanta, GA from Asheville, NC, and she needs a lot of help. Interestingly, Alpha’s wife and mother have been estranged for most of his adult’s life. Almost a year ago, his wife’s mother died in his sleep at 43 years old, and that was incredibly tough. Thereafter, his wife and her mother reconnected.
New Normal
The mother-in-law is not managing on her own and is now in assisted living which Alpha is helping out financially. However, he and his wife are trying to figure out their new normal now as they now have to take care of her in addition to their already full schedules. With all the turmoil, there is collateral beauty with his wife being help her mother out now after decades of estrangement. But it’s been hard regardless and an emotional punch in the face.
Moral of the Story
Alpha wants to let you know that hard times happen to all of us, but life has a funny way of prioritizing things for you. He’s also grateful that he and his family are healthy. He’s also thankful for all of the amazing people around him. He appreciates each and everyone of you too! You’re his support system and rock.
