A lot of guys aren’t sure how often to dry clean a suit. The answer may be shocking. Men’s style expert Aaron Marino of alpha m. says that you should get the suit dry cleaned when it needs it. When does it need it?
Not after one wear but perhaps after five wears or perhaps after a year. You only need to take it when you (a) spill something on it -or- (b) when you wore it some place stinky or smokey. If dry cleaning, dry cleaning all suit items together so the fabrics all match. Dry cleaning repeatedly deteriorates the fibers so take care of it on your own:
- Hang on a wooden hanger
- Store in a breathable garment bag
- Every iron has a setting for wool which can be used for wrinkles
